Company History

Recognizing a need for enterprise class tools for the organization, analysis and management of business rules and their related metadata, New Wisdom Software was founded in 2006 as a subsidiary of Lambert Technical Services, LLC, a national IT services firm with deep subject matter expertise in business rules management solutions.

The initial design for RuleGuide leveraged the experience of Lambert’s national business rules practice and prototypes of the product were used at multiple Lambert client engagements over a period of 2 years.  RuleGuide was continually refined and enhanced based on our experiences in these engagements.  In 2008, New Wisdom released the first licensable version of RuleGuide.

Development Philosophy

New Wisdom’s goal is to make RuleGuide the universally recognized standard for business rule documentation, analysis and management.  In order to accomplish this objective, we believe that it is essential to work closely with a wide variety of participants in the business rules management space so that we can validate and refine our thinking about development priorities.  We actively solicit and incorporate input on current and future product direction from the following groups:

• Current and prospective clients
• Experienced rule consultants and thought leaders
• Rule engine vendors
• Leading systems integrators and professional services firms
• Research analysts

Each of these market participants brings their own unique insight and perspective to business rules management.  New Wisdom believes that integrating a wide variety of viewpoints into our thinking about rule management and analysis will result in a tool that best meets the current and future needs of the marketplace.
